Today, producer Punch announced that Mamma Mia! The Party will be extended until this summer due to the ongoing high demand for tickets. By then, the show will have been playing for nearly a year at the Schiecentrale in Rotterdam. It’s already a Happy New Year for the cast of Mamma Mia! The Party, as last Sunday marked the 100th consecutive sold-out performance.

Demand for tickets is so high that all shows for this month are completely sold out, and sales for the coming months are going fast as well. “The success just keeps growing,” says producer Punch. “That’s why tickets are now available until July 7. Audiences are eager to experience Mamma Mia! The Party, and word-of-mouth has played a huge role in this. Guests we speak to are excited because their friends, family, or colleagues have already been and loved it. ABBA’s music is more alive than ever. And unlike traditional theatre, you’re not confined to your seat here—everyone is encouraged to sing and dance along. In fact, we love it!”

The cast of Mamma Mia! The Party, including Kaj van der Voort, Belle Zimmerman, Horace Cohen, Jeannine La Rose, Anouk Maas, and Wieneke Remmers, is overwhelmed by the show’s success. “You always hope to be able to perform for a full year,” says Kaj van der Voort. “But you never know if the audience will embrace the show. Every night, the energy is incredible—the roof comes off. It’s truly a celebration, time and time again.”

At Mamma Mia! The Party, the audience is transported to the Greek island of Skopelos, where flamboyant restaurant owner Nikos, his wife Kate, Nikos’ daughter Konstantina, and Adam find themselves caught up in various family dilemmas. In addition to the lead characters, Mamma Mia! The Party features a unique ensemble that sings, performs, and interacts with guests throughout the evening—all while serving a delicious four-course dinner. And of course, the night ends with a spectacular afterparty.
